ELISA TORO FRANKY, professional dancer, teacher, choreographer, and bilingual voice actress based in New York City, has astounded audiences worldwide in works that integrate ballet, tango, ballroom, and Middle Eastern styles. She has performed as a featured artist with Christopher Caines Dance, Dardo Galletto Dance at Jacob’s Pillow, and FJK Dance in New York City and abroad. With FJK Dance, Elisa traveled on a 31-city tour of China in 2017 and most recently performed as principal in the company's ninth season at New York Live Arts. Elisa also worked as Program Director at Accent Dance NYC, a performing arts and education organization that provides access to dance in underserved communities.

Born in Bogotá, Colombia, Elisa trained with mentors from the Cuban National Ballet School such as Lidia Díaz, Ana Julia Bermúdez, and Maricely Castillo under the artistic direction of Myriam Guerrero, and traveled to Cuba twice for international ballet intensives and competitions. She came to the United States in 2004 to study at the Miami City Ballet School, going on to dance with the Washington Ballet Studio Company, the Dance Theatre of Harlem Ensemble, and the New Jersey Ballet. In 2012, she founded the dance group “The Creative Cauldron” in Bogotá, directing performances in 2012, 2013 and 2018, to enthusiastic audience acclaim.

She was the featured dancer for the 2020 Battery Dance Festival in the dance film “Naranjo en Flor”, choreographed by Dardo Galletto and directed by Spanish filmmaker Don Solaris. In May of 2021, she collaborated with El Puente Presente singer/composer Juana Luna and the New York Philharmonic Orchestra’s string quartet for their bandwagon concert in Domino Park, and was photographed onstage by the New York Times. In June, she was invited to perform at I Heart Dance NYC, as one of a select few dancers from top companies in NYC. In December, she performed as a guest artist for the Westchester Ballet Company’s Nutcracker season as the Snow Queen and Arabian.
