WHY WE DANCE tells the story of the making of Westchester Ballet Company's 2020 Nutcracker under the constraints of the COVID-19 global pandemic. The film showcases the WBC dancers’ talent and courage, which have been tested by the challenges of the 2020 global pandemic.
Elisa has been WBC Guest Artist and former teacher. She appears in the video from minute 8 to 15:15 (section about resilience).

Having served more than 1,000 school-aged children in our inaugural year, this evening’s benefit performance seeks to raise funds to bring dance education to underserved communities in Westchester, Manhattan, the Bronx, and beyond. By combining elements of ballet, hip hop, salsa, jazz, and tango, our programming connects each dance style to themes of history, multiculturalism, literacy, self-discipline, creativity, local pride, and mutual respect.
